ALIWAL SHOAL
Aliwal Shoal is a 40-min. drive south of Durban. It comprises of fossilized sand dunes and lies 5km offshore. The shoal has sponges, hard & soft coral and a variety of game fish, but what makes Aliwal such a unique dive destination, is the presence of scores of Ragged tooth shark (Raggies). Between the months of June and November, the Raggies come to the warmer waters of the shoal to mate, and diving amongst these beautiful creatures in their placid state is awe-inspiring. Not far from Aliwal is the Produce, a Norwegian freighter that struck Aliwal shoal in 1974, and rests in 30 metres of water.

PROTEA BANKS
Known as the worlds best shark diving, Protea Banks offers the adventurous diver an unequalled experience. Situated one and a half hours from Durban, Protea Banks is a +25 metre dive and may only be dived by very experienced divers. Shark species to be seen are; Hammerheads, Zambezi/ Grey Nurse, Raggies and the occasional Great White.

SODWANA BAY
South Africa’s most popular dive destination, Sodwana Bay offers excellent diving as well as wilderness beauty, as Sodwana Bay is situated in a Nature Reserve. The little development at Sodwana is purely for divers and fishermen, so one can get close to nature while still enjoying their favourite pastime. Sodwana has the worlds southernmost coral reefs and there are over 1200 different species of of fish inhabiting the reef. In addition to diving, one can go game viewing in the renowned Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve or in Phinda private Reserve (voted the best private game reserve in Africa), which are a mere 45 min. drive from Sodwana.

The Lake Systems of St Lucia (a world heritage site), Sibaya and Kosi are also in close proximity to Sodwana, making your stay here a truly wild experience. MOZAMBIQUE
The best dive spots in Mozambique is ponta d’Ouro - which is a 20 min. drive from S.A border, Bazaruto Island and Inhaca Island.A tropical paradise of palm trees and white sand beaches awaits the visitor to this enchanting country. Friendly locals, exquisite Portuguese styled seafood and clear – warm waters makes Mozambique a unique dive destination.

ZANZIBAR
I went to Zanzibar on a diving holiday in February – 2000, and still nostalgically look at the photos whenever I can.- Milko Conte, Outpost Safaris.

Arabia meets Africa on this once slave trade centre. Very evident of this is the mixture of people found on the island. Sultans from Oman made Zanzibar there capital, and many old palaces in and around Stone town give testament to this

Diving in the flat seas around Zanzibar is simply spectacular; the viz. is an average of 25 metres and teeming with marine life and coral. We dived around little islands situated 2 km offshore from Stone Town and are still to this day the best I have dived. On the northern tip of Zanzibar is Nungwi, recognized as the best dive spot on the island, with numerous reefs off a relatively uninhabited coastline. There are a few resorts at Nungwi and nothing much else, so if getting away from it all while still diving is what you want, then this is where you must go. Let me assure you that nothing in this world can prepare you for the beauty and spice of this African paradise.

MADAGASCAR - LIVE ABOARD EXPERIENCE
Madagascar may not be the type of place that would attract tourists to its shores, but offshore and under water is untouched splendour waiting to be explored. We offer a 7 day live aboard diving experience, which includes all your food and as many dives as you can handle. For a group of 6-8 friends wanting an adventure in the unknown, this is a perfect getaway, and the unchartered reefs will blow your mind.
